Bachelor of Physiotherapy (BPT)

Overview

The BPT program aims to prepare healthcare professionals able to evaluate and treat patients with musculoskeletal, neurological, cardiopulmonary, sports-related, geriatric, pediatric, and post-surgical conditions. Students learn functional anatomy, biomechanics, electrotherapy, manual therapy, rehabilitation techniques, and allied disciplines like psychology, ethics, and community health. In later semesters, practical postings and clinical observerships build real-world competence. The final six months are a supervised clinical internship in hospitals or rehabilitation centers. Upon completion, graduates can work as physiotherapists in hospitals, clinics, sports and wellness centers, or pursue higher study (MPT)

10+2 with PCB plus English

Aggregate score around 45–50% based on category

Intake is limited; e.g., national data suggests up to 79 seats in some BPT programs

Admission typically based on academic merit or relevant entrance exams (specific to individual colleges/universities)
