Bachelor of Physiotherapy (BPT)

• 10+2 having English as a subject in Science stream with Physics, Chemistry and Biology (PCB) as mendatory subjects with minimum of 50% marks from recognized Board.
• A candidate should have completed the age of 17 years as on 31st December of the year of admission to B.P.T. Degree Course.
• Every candidate must furnish a medical certificate of physical fitness from authorised Government Medical Officer certifying that the candidate is physically fit to undergo the Physiotherapy course before admission.
• Selection criteria for admission shall be normally on merit basis.

The Bachelor degree in Physiotherapy is a four year full time academic programme with annual pattern of examination. The curriculum includes 80 hours of theory and 30 hours of practical in each subject on an average in every year. It also includes clinical postings in various hospital departments in the city. After completion of 4 years of education, the student undergoes a rotatory internship for a period of 6 months in various departments of few reputed hospitals within the state and outside the state. The medium of instruction for the course is English.
