Bachelor of Physiotherapy (BPT)

A Candidate seeking admission to first-year BPT:
Candidate Should have passed two years Pre University examination conducted by the Department of Pre-University Education, Karnataka State, with English as one of the subjects and Physics, Chemistry and Biology as optional subjects.
Candidates who have completed Pre-university courses with Vocational Physiotherapy as their optional subject are eligible for admission to the BPT course.
Shall have passed any other examination conducted by Boards/Councils/Intermediate examination established by State Government/Central Government and recognized as equivalent to a two year Pre University Examination by RGUHS.

• The Aim of this undergraduated course in physiotherapy is to impart in-depth knowledge and skills to the students to become competent in the physical diagnosis techniques and to develop proper attitude required for the practice of physiotherapy and carryout treatment.

Selection of the students to a course of Physiotherapy will be based on merit provided that:

• In case of admission on the basis of qualifying examination, a candidate for admission to BPT course must have passed individually in the subjects of Physics, Chemistry, Biology and English and must have obtained not less than 45% marks.
• In respect to candidates belonging to scheduled castes, scheduled tribes or category I, the marks obtained in Physics, Chemistry and Biology together in qualifying examination is not less than 40% instead of 45% as above.
