This combined Bachelor of Pharmacy (Honours) and Master of Pharmacy Practice programme at the University of Sydney is designed to prepare graduates for professional practice as pharmacists with a strong scientific foundation and advanced practice capability. The bachelor component covers core pharmaceutical science, medicinal chemistry, pharmacology, pharmaceutics and pharmacy practice through multiple levels (1000-, 2000-, 3000-, 4000-level units), including an honours research component. The master component embeds the intern training programme, integrates supervised professional practice, and prepares students to meet the registration requirements of the Pharmacy Board of Australia. Work‐integrated learning and clinical placements are a key feature, enabling students to apply their knowledge in community, hospital and industrial pharmacy settings.
