Bachelor of Pharmacy (B.Pharma or B.Pharm) is a four-year undergraduate academic program in the field of pharmacy. The study of pharmacy is mainly concerned with the action of drugs on biological systems and their applications for human drug therapy. The program prepares graduates for the contemporary role of the pharmacist in society ensuring that patients optimize medication usage. Pharmacists are becoming an integral part of the healthcare sector contributing to research and development on new drugs and medicines as well as the supply of the said medications in the market. A degree of B.Pharm is essential to get registered as a pharmacist. Initial courses on chemical, physical, and biological studies lead to professional specialties in later years.
