Overview

Bachelor of Pharmacy (B.Pharm) is an undergraduate degree course for students interested in the field of pharmacy. It is one of the most popular job-oriented courses amongst science students. The course equips an individual with the knowledge and skills needed for researching, testing and the dosage of drugs. That is to say that this bachelor’s degree makes one capable of working in the healthcare industry and making their contribution. Moreover, this course is a prerequisite for anyone wanting to become a pharmacist. This degree program consists of 8 semesters spread over a period of 4 years. And the core subjects covered in the course curriculum include Human Anatomy & Physiology, Biochemistry and Pharmaceutical Organic Chemistry. Furthermore, we have advanced labs where we encourage students to research and contribute to the manufacturing and development of medicinal drugs.

After doing a B.Pharm and strengthening their basics, one can for higher education to build on their fundamentals. They can do PGDM in pharmacy which will help them in enhancing their knowledge, skills and personality. There are other promising post graduation courses like MPharm and PharmD also which one can do. A wide spectrum of jobs are available for pharmacy degree holders. They can fulfil different roles in the healthcare industry as a drug specialist, pharmaceutical scientist, analytical chemist, drug inspector, etc. Thus, their job is of immense importance and in great demand. Other posts that they can take are that of a pharmacist, research officer, health inspector, hospital drug coordinator, etc. Lupin, Cipla, Aurobindo Pharma, Dr, Reddy’s Laboratories are some of the Indian companies which provide jobs.

Applicant must have passed 12th having PCB Group with 45% for Open & 40% for Reserved Category.
