B.K.L. Walawalkar Rural Medical College is a private medical institution established in 2015 under the Shri Vithalrao Joshi Charities Trust. It is located in a rural area near Sawarde village, Chiplun (Ratnagiri District), Maharashtra, and aims to serve the rural population by training competent medical professionals. The MBBS program is affiliated with Maharashtra University of Health Sciences (MUHS), Nashik, and recognised by the National Medical Commission (NMC). With a current intake capacity of 150 seats, the curriculum spans 4.5 years of academic instruction followed by a 1‑year compulsory rotating internship, during which students gain hands‑on clinical experience across major medical departments. The college infrastructure includes academic blocks, clinical departments, hospital facilities, library, laboratories, hostels, and student amenities. The focus is on holistic medical education, community service, and rural health improvement.

1. Must have passed 10+2 or equivalent with Physics, Chemistry & Biology.
2. NEET‑UG qualified (National Eligibility and Entrance Test) with valid score.
3. Age, nationality, and reservation eligibility as per NMC / MUHS / Government of Maharashtra guidelines.
4. Admission through NEET counselling (State & All India Quota).
