Bachelor of Medicine and Bachelor of Surgery (MBBS)

• Must have completed 10+2 or equivalent examination with Physics, Chemistry, Biology, and English.
• Minimum aggregate marks for the general category (and relaxed for reserved categories) as per NMC / Institute guidelines.
• Must attain minimum age, usually 17 years by December 31 of the year of admission.
• Must qualify in the NEET-UG exam.

The All India Institute of Medical Sciences, Bilaspur, is one of the newer AIIMS institutions, established as part of the PMSSY scheme to ensure high-quality tertiary healthcare and medical education in underserved regions. The MBBS course here aims to produce well-rounded medical professionals who are competent in both theoretical knowledge and clinical practice. The curriculum follows the Competency-Based Medical Education (CBME) framework, emphasising early clinical exposure, development of practical skills, ethical awareness, research orientation, and patient care. Students are trained through phases: pre-clinical, para-clinical and clinical, and then complete compulsory rotations across various hospital departments during the internship. The institute has modern infrastructure, affiliation with the National Medical Commission, a teaching hospital with multiple specialities, and accommodates around 50 MBBS seats in its first batch

1. Register and appear for NEET-UG (National Eligibility cum Entrance Test) conducted by NTA.
2. Achieve a qualifying score and percentile in NEET-UG.
3. Participate in NEET counselling (All India / State quota as per seat distribution). Seats are allotted based on rank, reservation category, and preferences.
4. Once allotted, complete document verification and fee payment to confirm the admission.
5. Join the MBBS program for 4.5 years of academic sessions plus a 1-year rotating internship.
