Bachelor of Medicine and Bachelor of Surgery (MBBS)

Overview

• Kiran Medical College, Vadod, Olpad, Surat is a relatively new medical institution established under the Samast Patidar Arogya Trust in Gujarat. It commenced operations to offer the MBBS degree program with an intake of 150 students per year. The college is a self-financed greenfield institution operating under Public-Private Partnership (PPP) with the Government of Gujarat under the Health Policy-2016. 
• The college is attached to Kiran Hospital, a 900-bed multi super-speciality hospital, out of which 605 beds are designated as teaching beds. The hospital provides students with clinical exposure across multiple specialties. 
• Infrastructure includes separate hostels for male and female students, modern laboratories, library, and other facilities expected in a medical education environment. The curriculum follows the guidelines set by the National Medical Commission, with emphasis both on theoretical learning and hands-on clinical training via rotating internships.

Eligibility

• Must have passed 10+2 (or equivalent) with Physics, Chemistry, Biology, and English. 
• Minimum marks in PCB (Physics, Chemistry, Biology) as per category (usually ~50% for general; may be lower for reserved categories) 
• Must be at least 17 years old by 31 December of the year of admission. 
• Qualify NEET UG (National Eligibility cum Entrance Test – Undergraduate) exam.
