Bachelor of Medicine and Bachelor of Surgery (MBBS)

GMERS Medical College, Morbi (established in 2022) is a government medical institution under the Gujarat Medical Education and Research Society, Government of Gujarat. It is affiliated to Saurashtra University, Rajkot, and recognized by the National Medical Commission. The college began its first MBBS batch in August 2022 with 100 seats. The academic and clinical training is tied closely with Civil Hospital, Morbi (about 360-374 beds) which provides hands-on exposure in various departments. Infrastructure includes well-equipped labs (for anatomy, physiology, biochemistry, microbiology, pathology etc.), a library, hostel facilities, sports and recreational amenities. The medical college aims to follow NMC norms, and clinical rotations are built into the curriculum. While the permanent campus is under development, initially the college is operating in temporary premises near the Morbi railway station. Faculty, facilities and courses adhere to regulations to ensure students receive robust theoretical and practical medical education.
