Overview

Pt. Jawahar Lal Nehru Memorial Medical College (Pt. JNMC), Raipur, established in 1963, is one of the oldest government medical colleges in Chhattisgarh. Recognised by the NMC and affiliated with Pt. Deendayal Upadhyay Memorial Health Sciences & Ayush University, it offers the MBBS degree with an intake of around 230 seats per year. Students undergo rigorous training involving pre-clinical, para-clinical, and clinical phases, followed by a one-year rotating internship. The institute is attached to the large Dr. B.R. Ambedkar Memorial Hospital (700+ beds), which provides substantial clinical exposure. Infrastructure includes well-equipped laboratories, central library, auditoriums, and hostel facilities. Emphasis is placed not only on academic learning but also on hands-on clinical practice, research opportunities, and student welfare.

Eligibility

• Must have passed 10+2 with Physics, Chemistry, Biology subjects.
• Minimum board exam aggregate (often 50% for general category; lower for reserved categories as per rules) 
• Must be at least 17 years old by 31st December of the year of admission.
• Must have qualified NEET-UG exam.
