Bachelor of Medicine and Bachelor of Surgery (MBBS)

Overview

Every student shall undergo a period of certified study extending over four and half academic years divided into 9 semesters, (i.e. of 6 months each) from the date of commencement of his study for the subjects comprising the medical curriculum to the date of completion of examination and followed by one year compulsory rotating internship. Internship is a phase of training wherein a graduate is expected to conduct actual practice of medical and health care and acquire skills under supervision so that he/she may become capable of functioning independently. 

Eligibility

• The candidate should be an Indian National or Person of Indian Origin (PIO) / Overseas Citizens of India (OCI) Card Holder and should satisfy the Local or Non- local status in Telangana State as laid down in Andhra Pradesh Education Institutions (Regulations of Admissions) Order, 1974.
• AGE: The candidate should have completed 17 years of age. The candidates who do not complete 17 years as on 31st december need not attend the counseling.
• The candidate should have passed Intermediate (10+2 pattern) or its equivalent examination with Physics, Chemistry, Biology (Botany, Zoology)/Biotechnology and English.
• General Category (OC) candidates should obtain not less than 50% marks in science subjects. BC/SC/ST candidates should obtain lot less than 40% marks in science subjects. OC PH candidates should obtain not less than 45% marks in science subjects
• The candidate should qualify NEET Examinations with 50 percentile for OC, 40 percentile for BC/SC/ST and 45 percentile in respect of persons with Disability (OC-PH).
