Overview

    • Narendra Modi Medical College (formerly AMC MET Medical College), Maninagar, Ahmedabad, is a government-run medical college established in 2009 and is governed by the Ahmedabad Municipal Corporation’s Medical Education Trust. It is affiliated with Gujarat University and recognised by the National Medical Commission, which ensures standards for Indian medical schools.

    • The MBBS programme has an intake capacity of 200 seats per year, with a split between the All-India Quota (15%) and State Quota (85%) for admissions. Students undergo a 4.5-year classroom and practical curriculum across basic medical sciences, followed by clinical rotations, after which a one-year rotating internship provides hands-on exposure in different specialities. The attached teaching hospital, Sheth Lallubhai Gordhandas Municipal Hospital (LG Hospital), with over 1000+ beds, offers strong clinical exposure across a variety of departments. Facilities include hostel accommodations, laboratories, lecture halls, and modern clinical departments to support comprehensive medical training.

    • Fees are substantially high under different quotas — Government Quota, Management Quota, etc. — and might vary year to year; prospective students are recommended to check the current fee schedule.
