The Candidate who are Under Graduate – National Eligibility cum Entrance Test [NEET] held by National Testing Agency [NTA]. [As per Regulations on Graduate Medical Education, 1997]
The course is designed with a goal to create an “Indian Medical Graduate” (IMG) possessing requisite knowledge, skills, attitudes, values and responsiveness, so that she or he may function appropriately and effectively as a physician of first contact of the community while being globally relevant. The period of training shall be four and half years with additional one year of compulsory rotating internship. A candidate has to pass out of the course in maximum 10 years from date of admission. The course is recognized by Medical Council of India.
