BDS is a 5‑year undergraduate degree combining academic study with clinical training. Students study key disciplines of dental science over the first 4 years while also gaining exposure to patient interaction and clinical procedures through rotations in affiliated hospitals. The final year is a one‑year compulsory internship where students must complete structured clinical postings. Graduates earn a DCI‑recognized license to practice dentistry in India. RUHS oversees standard curriculum, examinations, and degree awards.
