- Government Ayurvedic College & Hospital (GACH), Balangir is one of the oldest and most reputed government Ayurvedic institutions in Western Odisha. Established in 1975 and later taken over by the Government of Odisha in 1984, the institute has played a significant role in Ayurvedic education, healthcare, and research in the region. The college operates on a dedicated campus spread across approximately 9 acres at Tulsi Nagar, Balangir.
- The BAMS program is designed according to NCISM guidelines and combines classical Ayurvedic knowledge with modern medical sciences. Students receive both theoretical and practical training through classrooms, laboratories, hospital postings, herbal medicine studies, and clinical exposure. The attached Ayurvedic hospital provides hands-on clinical experience in diagnosis, Panchakarma, Kayachikitsa, surgery-related Ayurvedic procedures, and patient care.
- The institution has experienced faculty members, a well-maintained library, departmental laboratories, herbal gardens, hostel facilities, and academic support systems.
