B.A.M.S. marries ancient Ayurvedic wisdom with modern medical understanding. The curriculum includes classical texts (Charaka, Sushruta, Ashtanga Hridaya), anatomy, physiology, Dravyaguna (pharmacology), Panchakarma, Rasashastra, Shalakya, Kaumarabhritya, and modern diagnostic techniques. After completing a rigorous 4½‑year study followed by a 1‑year clinical internship, graduates can register as Ayurvedic practitioners, work in hospitals/clinics, pursue research, or teach.
