Overview
The BAMS is the one and the only course in India to become an ayurvedic practitioner. The BAMS course covers investigation of current life structures, physiology, social and preventive pharmaceuticals, toxicology, herbal science, ENT, etc. BAMS is the course with practical training which is five years long. The students interact with the patient and get the practical knowledge of diseases as the college and the hospital are generally nearby to each other or may resides in the same facilities with different areas specified. BAMS course also contains a yearlong i.e. 12-month-long internship, in which an intern has to come across various specialties. Besides standard clinical care, one also gets a methodical experience of ward management, staff management, and thorough analysis skills.

Eligibility
- Must have completed 10+2 (Science stream) from a recognized board.
- Mandatory subjects: Physics, Chemistry, Biology/Biotechnology + English.
- Minimum marks (traditional criteria):
General: 50% in PCB
SC/ST/OBC: 40%
PwD: 45%
- NEET-UG qualification is compulsory for admission.
- Must secure minimum NEET qualifying percentile:
General: 50th percentile
SC/ST/OBC: 40th percentile
- Minimum age: 17 years (by 31st December of admission year).
- No strict upper age limit (as per latest NEET norms).

Admission Process:
- Step 1: Check Eligibility. Must pass 12th (PCB) and meet the required marks criteria.
- Step 2: Apply for NEET-UG Register online and fill the NEET application form.
- Step 3: Appear for the NEET Exam. NEET is mandatory for BAMS admission in India.
- Step 4: Qualify NEET must secure a minimum qualifying percentile (category-wise).
- Step 5: Register for AYUSH Counselling

- Step 6: Choice Filling: Select preferred colleges (including NRS Govt. Ayurvedic College).
- Step 7: Seat Allotment. Seats are allotted based on NEET rank + preferences.
- Step 8: Document Verification: Verify certificates (10th, 12th, NEET scorecard, ID, etc.).
- Step 9: Reporting to College Visit allotted college and confirm admission.
- Step 10: Fee Payment & Final Admission Pay fees and complete joining formalities.
