  • Bachelor of Ayurvedic Medicine and Surgery (B.A.M.S) degree is recognised by Central Council of Indian Medicine Statutory body under Government of India Ministry of Health and Family Welfare. A BAMS graduate is eligible for Ayurvedic medical Practice. B.A.M.S in Atreya Ayurvedic Medical College is designed for 5 and half years including one year of compulsory internship. Other programs are designed as part of the BAMS course for interested students to fetch good recognition at an international level. The program is so designed as part of the B.A.M.S course to help students develop life skills and other skills necessary for practitioners. These skills also include etiquette presentability and communication skills giving rise to an overall personality development.

Eligibility

  • Admission to B.A.M.S. degree course is open to students who have passed the Second Year of the Pre-University examination of the Karnataka P.U. Board or any other equivalent examination recognized by the Rajiv Gandhi University of Health Sciences with Physics, Chemistry and Biology as optional subjects. The candidates should have obtained at least 50% marks in Aggregate in the PCB Optional in the Second Year of PUC examination & 40% for SC/ST Category(for Karnataka Candidates only).

  • Admission of students to BAMS courses will be through the merit list of NEET. All admissions made by the college to First Year of the B.A.M.S. course are Provisional, Subject to the Approval of the Rajiv Gandhi University of Health Sciences, Bangalore, Karnataka and the Institution is not responsible for any loss in this behalf. Out-of-state students should obtain Eligibility Certificate from the Rajiv Gandhi University of Health Sciences, Bangalore, Karnataka within the last date of admission fixed by the University. The office will arrange for this.
