Overview

The first professional deals with mainly 6 subjects i.e Rachana Sharir(Anatomy), Kriya Sharir(Physiology), Ashtanga Hridya, Padarth Vigyan (Philosophy of Ayurved) & History of Ayurved and Sanskrit. The second professional includes 4 subjects: Dravya Guna (Pharmacology), Rasa Shastra-Bhaishjya Kalpana (Pharmaceutical science), Agad Tantra (Toxicology and Medical Jurisprudence) and Charak Samhita. The third professional comprises 5 subjects: Roga Nidan evam Vikruti Vigyan (Pathology and microbiology), Swastha vritta & yoga (Preventive social medicine and yoga), Stri Prasuti Tantra (Gynaecology and Obstetrics), Kaumarbhritya (Paediatrics) and Charak Samhita. The final professional comprise of 5 subjects: Shalya Tantra (General surgery), Shalakya Tantra (Eye and ENT), Kayachikitsa (General Medicine), Panchkarma, Research Methodology & statistics. During internship the student gives clinical duties in OPD & IPD of Kayachiktsta, Shalya, Shalakya, Prasuti evam striroga, Kaumarbhritya and Panchkarma Section of hospital.
