The Bachelor of Ayurvedic Medicine and Surgery (BAMS) at Government Ayurvedic Medical College, Jammu is a full-time undergraduate program of 5.5 years (including 1-year compulsory internship) that focuses on the principles and practices of Ayurveda, India’s traditional system of medicine. The course covers subjects like Anatomy, Physiology, Pharmacology, Panchakarma, Surgery (Shalya Tantra), and Herbal Medicine, along with modern medical concepts, enabling students to diagnose and treat diseases using natural and holistic approaches.
