P.U. Sc. (presently HSSLC Science) passed candidates were eligible for admission into the BAMS course which was introduced in the year 1977. In the year 1983, the pre-Ayurvedic course was abolished and HSSLC Science students were admitted directly on the basis of merit having minimum 50% marks in P, C, B&E(Physics, Chemistry, Biology & English). Now the candidates have to appear in a Common Entrance Examination test (CEE, Assam), and according to on the basis of merit, the students get admission in the B.A.M.S. course. At the time of starting the degree course.
- Candidates must have to deposit original Admit Card, Mark Sheet and Pass Certificate of HSLC and HSSLC or equivalent examination to the Principal, Govt. Ayurvedic College. Guwahati, at the time of admission.
