Overview
- The Bachelor of Applied Science (Physiotherapy) at the University of Sydney is a comprehensive four-year full-time programme designed to prepare graduates to practise as physiotherapists. The curriculum covers foundational biomedical sciences (anatomy, physiology, neuroscience), human movement, exercise science, professional practice, musculoskeletal, neurological, respiratory and cardiac physiotherapy, paediatric physiotherapy and preventative health care.
- A strong feature of the degree is the early and embedded clinical placement experience — including an initial one-week placement in Year 1, followed by five five-week block placements in Years 2-4.

Eligibility
- Meet secondary school completion or equivalent qualification.
- Achieved assumed knowledge in Chemistry and Physics; recommended Mathematics Advanced.
- Competitive entry: Historically, a very high selection rank was required (e.g., ATAR ~99+ for domestic school leavers) in recent years.
- Applicants must meet “inherent requirements” of the profession (e.g., ability to perform physical tasks, placements) as per the university’s rules.
