Bachelor In Medical Laboratory Technology (BMLT)

Overview

The BMLT at VIAS is structured to develop skilled medical laboratory professionals ready for employment in hospitals, diagnostic labs, research centers, and pharmaceutical settings. Students engage with a comprehensive curriculum spanning key clinical disciplines, laboratory techniques, and emerging diagnostics such as molecular biology. The integration of classroom learning with robust lab sessions and a mandatory internship ensures graduates acquire practical competence and professional confidence. Soft skills, ethical practice, and lab administration are also emphasized. Workplace readiness is enhanced through placement and career guidance services 

Eligibility

10+2 with PCB, minimum 50% marks

Lateral entry possible after completion of DMLT/ADMLT

English proficiency at least 60% in secondary/high school

Age 17–25 years

Selection via in-house test/interview (e.g., VHIAST) or merit-based evaluation

Annual intake: ~30–60 students
