Auxiliary Nursing Midwifery (ANM)

Overview

ANM is a two-year foundational diploma that prepares students for roles in community and primary healthcare environments. The curriculum integrates theoretical nursing and midwifery subjects with hands-on training in community health centers, maternal care clinics, and public health facilities. It emphasizes preventive, promotive, and rehabilitation care, enabling graduates to deliver essential nursing services at grassroots levels, especially in rural and underserved areas 

Eligibility

Passed 10th class (or 10+2 in specified streams) with minimum aggregate (often around 40–45%)

Age typically between 17 and 35 years, with 17 years required by December 31 of admission year

Must be medically fit and meet Gujarat Nursing Council norms
