Auxiliary Nursing Midwifery (ANM)

Overview

The 2-year Diploma ANM is designed to train students in fundamental nursing care and midwifery, making them eligible for roles in rural healthcare and primary health centres. The program emphasizes community health, maternal and child care, sanitation, and preventive medicine. It blends classroom instruction with practical clinical training.

Eligibility

• Completion of Class 12 (all streams).
• Typically, a minimum overall aggregate of 40–45% may apply, similar to the GNM guidelines — though ANM criteria are usually less stringent
