Auxiliary Nurse & Midwife (ANM) is the two year diploma level course in Nursing has been designed to completely train and qualify to female students to deal with various aspects with utmost professionalism and care with community health. The main aim of the course is to teach students to help the whole community of people in providing healthcare. This course has its importance because of the need for people to have knowledge in the nursing profession. ANM students are educated on maternity care and providing assistance to new mothers during pregnancy and post-delivery. Candidates are also taught on various aspects of Medicare that aim at improving the health of patients, families and society in large.
Opportunities for ANM or Female Health workers are vast in terms of Government and Private Health Sectors. Most of the State and Central Government Health Programmes are implemented at community level through ANM’s training in State or Central Government job. Eligibility
- The minimum age for admission shall be 17 years to 35 years on or before 31st December of the year in which admission is sought.
- Students qualified in 10+2 Arts /Commerce/ Science examination conducted by with recognized board or National Institute of Open School.
