Auxiliary Nursing Midwifery (ANM)

Applicant should have passed 12th std. with any of the stream.

Auxiliary nurse midwife or Auxiliary nurse hybrids commonly known as ANM, is a village-level female health worker in India who is known as the first contact person between the community and the health services. ANMs are regarded as the grass-roots workers in the health organisation pyramid. Graduates of the ANM programmes are qualified to work in both the public and private sectors. it offers more opportunities in terms of compensation and growth.

Nursing is based on values of caring, and aims to help individuals to attain independence in self-care. It necessitates development of compassion and understanding of human behavior among its practitioners to provide care with respect and dignity and protect the rights of individuals and groups.
