Our Diploma Program offered in Auxiliary Nursing & Midwifery (ANM) is a mission to upscale students with core skills like flexibility, adaptability, empathy, organizational skills, and time management. This helps them to carry out nursing and obstetric care interventions within four macro-areas: coordination and advanced assistance, organization and management, research and innovation, training and education. This two-year-long specialized program offers study in varied subjects relating to the field, including the study of basic anatomy and medical equipment. The first year of the course covers the basic knowledge about setting up operation theatre, taking care of various equipment, maintaining records, and also administering timely medication to patients. The 2nd year is mainly focused on developing the research and organizational-managerial skills in the students, followed by an experiencing internship opportunity. Although this profession emerged years back to provide better care to women, children, and the older population, especially in rural settings, it has now become a valuable asset for both urban and rural communities. In accordance with guidelines/principals laid down in the order of the Hon’ble supreme Court of the India in T.M.A. Pai Foundation and other Vs State of Karnataka, the admission of the candidate to a course is made on the merits prepared on the basis of entrance examination on All India basis and the subsequent interview held by the institute. 25% seats in all courses are reserved for NRI/sponsored candidates, for which their shall be direct admission on the basis of the marks obtained in qualifying examination and interview. The candidates should bring marksheet and certificates in original along with the photocopies at the time of the interview.
Distribution of Seats :-
75% seats of sanctioned intake will be open and will be filled through common entrance test and interview conducted by the Institute on the basis of merit. This 75% includes 10% seats of the sanctioned intake earn market for students belonging to poor and weaker section of the society including SC / ST / OBC and 50% seats of the sanctioned intake earn market to the bonafide candidate of Uttarakhand State, 2% Physically Challenged and 1% for students bonafied of J. & K. State. In case, the above category seat remains vacant after the expiry of the time given to the candidates of the second list, the seats shall revert to the general category.
