Overview
ANM or the Auxiliary Nursing Midwifery is a diploma course which emphasizes on training of the nurses as a community health worker. The course trains the students on how to take care of medical equipment, setting up of Operation Theater, provide medication timely to patient and maintain the records of the patients in small communities. The programme is more focused on the basic training hence. Candidates pursuing ANM programme are expected to have knowledge of the basic concepts of nursing as well as being able to provide first aid and primary medical care to the patient. As the duration of this programme is short, the ANM course curriculum has limited modules compared to GNM and BSc Nursing.

Eligibility
- The Minimum age for admission shall be 17 years on or before 31st December of the year in which admission is sought.
- The Maximum age for admission shall be 35 years.
- 10+2 Arts (Mathematics, Biochemistry, Economics, political science, History, Geography, Business studies, Accountancy, Home Science, Sociology, Psychology, Philosophy) and English elective or Health Care science – Vocational Stream ONLY, passing out from recognized board.
- Students qualified in 10+2 Arts, Commerce or Science Examination or health care sciences.
- Students shall be Medically Fit.
- Students shall be admitted once in a year.
