Auxiliary Nursing Midwifery (ANM)

• Min. 17 & max. 35 years in age on or before 31st December of respective year of admission.
• Medically fit
• 10+2 pass or its equivalent recognized by competent authority in any branch.
• No parallel / simultaneous attendance in other course during auxiliary nurse and midwives.

Auxiliary nurse and midwives course is designed to prepare the student nurses to develop knowledge and skill especially on maternal and child health through integration of theory and practice that required serving in village level and public health centers, so the student nurse can assume the position of Registered Auxiliary Nurse and Midwives (RANM).

The course of study leading to auxiliary nurse and midwives is a full time diploma program comprises of two completed academic years including internship. The candidates seeking admission may enroll their names on or before cutoff date and the procedure of admission is made on first come first serve basis / spot admission at institutional level.

There is no entrance examination for ANM, GNM, PB B. Sc. (N) and M. Sc. (N) courses. However, for Basic B. Sc. (N) course, the entrance examination shall be conducted by DMER based on the guidelines of Admission Regulating Authority, Mumbai.

Application form for admission available with prospectus and can be obtained from the institute on payment of Rs. 1000/- for B. Sc. (N), PB B. Sc. (N)& M. Sc. (N), Rs. 500/- for GNM and Rs. 250/- for ANM by way of cash or demand draft drawn in favor of Principal, Dr. PDNI. Read prospectus carefully for proper information before filling the application form. The last date of submission of form will be displayed on notice board. The form must be filled in block letters (wherever necessary), and Filled in application form shall be considered only when fulfills the following criteria –

• Properly and correctly filled and signed by the applicant and applicant's father / guardian
• Received by the institute on or before the last date
• Accompanied by attested copies of relevant documents such as;
• School/college leaving certificate (duplicate transfer certificate will not be entertained)
• Secondary school certificates
• Higher secondary certificate showing statement of marks
• Medical fitness certificate
• Nationality certificate
• Caste certificate /caste validity / non creamy layer for applicant belonged to backward class
• Migration certificate in case of applicant passed last exam from a board other than Maharashtra state Board / university other than MUHS
• State nursing council registration certificate, nursing degree certificate and certificates showing statement of marks for applicant seeking admission to PB B. Sc. (N) & M. Sc. (N).
• Gap certificate in form of court affidavit if the applicant had break in education
