Overview
ANM stands for Auxiliary Nursing Midwifery it is a diploma course which focus on the study of health care of various individuals. It also taught about how to take care of equipment, setting up of Operation Theater, provide medication timely to patient and maintain records.
ANM course trains the students & make them capable to work as basic health workers. ANM graduates main focus is given towards the treatment of children, women & old age people.
The ANM course is practically a diploma programme which allows non-science students to pursue a career in nurse practitioner. However, a GNM course is designed to enroll students who have science background or have cleared 2 year ANM course.

Eligibility
- The candidates must be minimum 17 years of age on 31December of admission year. The maximum age limit for admission shall be 35 years.
- The candidates must have passed 10+2 or equivalent examination with any stream from BSEB, or any other Board or Council or University equivalent thereof.
- The candidates passed 10+2 examination in any steam, conducted by National Institute of Open School are also eligible to apply.
- Candidates Shall be medically fit for the course (Medical certificate format in annexure -V).
- Only female candidates are eligible to apply.
