The foundation stone of government medical college project was laid in Hardoi on 26th February 2019 by the present honorable Chief Minister Government of UP. Under the centrally aided scheme “Establishment of New Medical CollegesAttached with Exiting Districts/ Referral Hospitals, Phase II”. It was decided to upgrade Hardoi District Hospital to Government Medical College, Hardoi and through Government of India letter dated 21st June 2018. Consent was given on DPR of Government Medical College, Hardoi.
