Assam Medical College, Dibrugarh is one of the premier and oldest medical institutes of the NE region of India established on 3rd November 1947, in the erstwhile US Military hospital of the second world war at Borbari. Assam Medical College and Hospital (AMCH), formerly Berry White Medical School, is a public medical school and hospital in Dibrugarh, Assam, India. It was the first medical college in Assam and the whole of Northeastern India. It is the tertiary medical referral center for upper Assam and areas in neighboring states, including Arunachal Pradesh. The college has been ranked 62 on the list of government institutes.
