Arasan Eye Hospital, Erode

Arasan Eye Hospital was established in Erode in the year 1997. It had a modest beginning in rented premises. But from the beginning, the aim was to cater to all segments of society. Every week, free eye camps were conducted for the benefit of the rural community. Fellowship training for young doctors were also offered right from inception. A separate charitable wing, Save Sight Foundation was established in the year 2000 to streamline the outreach activity. In 2001, Arasan Eye Bank was founded.
