Anand Eye Institute Mission is To be the finest eye care centers in all of India in which patients receive care that is comparable to international standards. AEI aims to mold skillful and ethical ophthalmologists that give back to society through teaching, training and research. By providing cost effective, comprehensive and state of the art eye care to all sections of society, AEI attempts to bridge the gap in medical care to those in disadvantaged socio-economic situations. AEI’s vision is to be a center of excellence for complete eye care, be a forerunner in Ophthalmology research and impart the best of advanced practices to eye care professionals. AEI’s main goal is to establish a world class training facility while delivering quality care to the local community. They plan to enroll residents every year into fellowship programs that focus on Glaucoma, the Cornea, the Retina and comprehensive Ophthalmology. These programs will give doctors a chance to train while using world class equipment and learn from the experience of the faculty here. By establishing a structured residency program, AEI will train future Ophthalmologists to address the growing burden of blindness and other vision-related disorders. With this training program under the supervision of senior doctors, they hope to expand and improve the delivery of quality eye care to all sections of the Indian population.
