All India Institute of Medical Sciences (AIIMS) Raipur is a public university established by the Ministry of Health & Family Welfare, Government of India in the year 2012. AIIMS Raipur is recognized as an ‘Institute of National Importance’ by the Department of Higher Education, Ministry of Education, Government of India. The university provides courses in pharmacy, sciences, medical & allied sciences streams. A total of 24 courses are offered by the university. A few of the courses offered are Bachelor of Medicine and a Bachelor of Surgery (M.B.B.S.), B.Sc. Nursing (Hons), M.D. General Medicine, M.S. ENT, etc.
