All India Institute of Medical Sciences (AIIMS), Guwahati

The All India Institute of Medical Sciences (AIIMS) - Guwahati, an autonomous Institute of National Importance under the Ministry of Health & Family Welfare - Government of India, was established under the Pradhan Mantri Swasthya Suraksha Yojna (PMSSY) in May 2017. The Institute has been set up with the aim of correcting regional imbalances in quality tertiary level healthcare and attaining self-sufficiency in graduate and postgraduate medical education. AIIMS Guwahati will comprise of a medical college with an annual intake 125 MBBS students and a nursing college with an annual intake of 75 students. The hospital will deliver OPD and emergency services and will have a 750-bedded in-patient facility managed by speciality and super-speciality departments equipped with all state-of-the-art amenities.
