The Advanced Noninvasive Cardiac Imaging Fellowship at Northwestern University Feinberg School of Medicine is a two-year GME-recognized advanced fellowship designed to prepare cardiologists for leadership roles in cardiovascular imaging. The curriculum is divided into two complementary years: the first emphasizes advanced echocardiography—including interventional echocardiography, 3D imaging, strain imaging, and adult congenital heart disease—while the second focuses on comprehensive cardiac CT and MRI. Fellows train within the Bluhm Cardiovascular Institute, gaining experience with high-volume structural heart interventions and complex cardiovascular imaging while participating in multidisciplinary conferences, research, and education. The program places strong emphasis on scholarly productivity, with fellows expected to complete meaningful research and publish their work before graduation. Graduates are well prepared for careers in academic medicine, advanced cardiovascular imaging, and leadership of multimodality imaging laboratories.
