Advanced Cardiac Life Support (ACLS) Course

Overview

Vivacristo's AHA-certified ACLS course provides healthcare professionals with advanced knowledge and skills to manage adult cardiovascular emergencies. The program focuses on high-quality CPR, early recognition and management of cardiac arrest, acute coronary syndromes, and stroke, advanced airway management, related pharmacology, and effective team dynamics during resuscitation. Through hands-on practice and simulated clinical scenarios, participants gain the competence to direct or participate in life-saving interventions, enhancing their ability to improve patient outcomes in critical care settings.

 

Eligibility

• Must be a healthcare professional as listed under "Minimum Education."
• Possession of a current and valid AHA BLS Provider certification card.
• Proficiency in Basic Life Support (BLS) skills, including effective chest compressions, use of a bag-mask device, and use of an AED.
• Ability to read and interpret basic electrocardiograms (ECGs).
• Understanding of cardiovascular pharmacology and ability to prepare and administer essential cardiovascular medications.
• Ability to participate effectively as a member and leader of a resuscitation team.
• Completion of a mandatory pre-course self-assessment (pretest) is often required before attending the in-person session.
